I Wish

Like a magic carpet, a pillow floats in the sky. I wish I could lay my head on its cool surface. I wish I could close my eyes and dream of flying. I wish I could forget everything that troubles me, press my face into that soft whiteness, blank out my thoughts, become weightless, and slowly drift in the warm evening air.

Rocky Road

The road is rocky but I keep going, and going. I can’t seem to find my way, there are twists and turns, I know there’s something I have to take care of, but I don’t know what it is. I am so confused. The clouds are looming, and it looks like the bird has flown. Or is it me that’s gone? This dream doesn’t end.

Before I Sleep

Infinite space, scattered with celestial bodies, frames my waiting pillow. Before I sleep, my eyes unknowingly close, and I let go. I spin out into the universe on this soft craft. My body is bound to the earthy ground, but my dreaming self is untethered. This is all there is.

Beneath Our Feet

Small creatures go about their lives in this warm, spiky evening. Our stories play out at a higher level; we take a longer view as we take conquering strides into the future. Perhaps it is time to slow down, look where we are walking, and tread carefully amongst this humble wealth.
